“Queer Muslims of Manchester (QMOM) is a volunteer-led community social group based in Manchester. We provide a safe space for Muslims who identify as LGBTQ+, aged 18 and over.

We do not promote or affiliate with any specific religious/cultural school of thought, but promote individual thought and reflection.”

QMOM is committed to ensuring the safety of individuals and the group as a whole. QMOM is for people aged 18 and over, and given the nature of the group, has a responsibility to safeguard vulnerable adults (Care Act, 2014). QMOM is committed to listening to individuals, signposting to appropriate support and/or making a referral with consent of an individual where appropriate.

QMOM does not take responsibility for actions taken by attendees, before the official QMOM event, and after the official QMOM event has ended.

QMOM will clearly mark the end of each official event. If you have any concerns about issues that have arisen during an official QMOM event, we encourage and welcome you to speak confidentially with the organisers of the event or a member of the QMOM team.
